Is it Really October 1st?!

Today we headed out and met Amanda and Aidan at the Phoenix Children's Museum.  We haven't been there before, so I was excited to check it out.  With it being October 1, I wish I could say that we got to put on our fall clothes, but with it still being over 100, we had to settle for fall colors!

Had to take a picture next to this green wall before we went in!

We all had a really great time at the Museum, and I would say it was worth going to again.  Even with a field trip their, Emma and Aidan had plenty of room to play and explore.
The first room we checked out was the grocery store.  I thought Emma would LOVE being in there, because she always has to drop the food in the shopping cart when we go to the grocery store.  But there was a play kitchen/restaurant next door, and once she saw that she was out of the grocery store!  I guess we will have to talk to Santa about getting her a play kitchen for Christmas!

After playing in the kitchen area, we headed to a room that had balls that would go through tunnels.  Some made music, and others were a maze.

Emma is running back to her musical one!

Next we headed into an area that had a whole bunch of pool noodles hanging from the ceiling.  Neither Emma nor Aidan were too sure about it, so we didn't stay long and headed to the safer area of picking flowers!

Amanda and I were really hoping that the kids would go home and tell their Daddies to bring home flowers for their mommies!

Picture time with mommy!

They had a really neat area where everything was cars.  The had a couple of cars that the kids could sit on, and also tunnels that cars would race in all around the room.  This room was a little smaller, so I wasn't able to get many pictures.  One picture that I wish I would have gotten was the car wash.  They had a "car wash" set up for kids to drive through on tricycles.  Emma loves bikes, but has never been on one.  All of the tricycles were in use, but Emma decided that she would wait in line anyway and walk through the car wash! It was quite a sight to see this little girl with a bike in front of her and a bike behind her walking with them in the line!  Even though I missed that picture, I was able to get this cute one of Aidan.

After the cars, we headed over to a quite area that had some tunnels, animal shaped chairs, and books.  Emma had fun checking out the tunnels, and she of course had to look at a book.

Then it was off to painting rocks with water...

Then we found this tunnel thing where the kids would put in pom pom balls and air would suck it through the maze and shoot it out the side.  You can see a pink pom pom ball flying past Amanda.

We ventured into the Art Room next.  We decided to skip the painting activity, but we did play with play dough!  Emma has never seen play dough before, and just as I thought, the first thing she did was put it in her mouth.  She only needed a couple of reminders that we don't eat the play dough, and seemed to like playing with it.

A sand table...

Amanda and Aidan climbing on their HUGE climbing structure....we watched from below!

That was our day in a nut shell.  I know it may seem like it, but I promise, I didn't take pictures of EVERYTHING!  It was a great day and we loved being able to spend some time with Amanda and Aidan.  Thanks for meeting us out there you two!
